ORTRON is primarily a research and development facility that investigates the application of new and useful raw materials to be used in their many types of formulations. These formulations are available to clients who wish to develop a business relationship with ORTRON which also has manufacturing capabilities suited for the small to medium sized clients.

The Research & Development (R & D) and production facilities are based in the one location in Sydney, Australia.

Not only does ORTRON offer a solution to production problems but also back it up with technical knowledge gained from many years of experience.

JACOB H. VROMEN PH.D, ORTRON Corporation Pty Ltd


Dr Jacob Vromen founded ORTRON Corporation Pty Ltd in 1981 and registered it in 1982. ORTRON is the main company which incorporates three product development areas, namely Australian Melaleuca (which incorporates Australia's unique tea tree oil), Joie & Jeunesse (J&J) (for the joy of youthful looking skin using blends of herbal extracts) and Exotique Supernaturelle (which incorporates essential oils).

Dr Vromen (a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Amsterdam University and a B.Sc. in Economics from London University) is the CEO and formulator at ORTRON. Prior to establishing his own company, Dr Vromen worked under contract with the United Nations setting up textile factories in developing countries. Dr Jacob Vromen has spent 35 years developing unique skin care technologies such as the advanced Transdermal Drug Delivery® system, developing and adapting these products to manufacturing. He was one of the original innovators of water in oil emulsion technologies which are usually very difficult to stabilise.

He is a member of the Australian Society of Cosmetic Chemists (ASCC) and the Federation Internationale de Cosmetologie (France). He is fluent in French, Dutch, English and German.

Marc Vromen


Marc Vromen began working at Ortron in 2003 and brought with him a vast experience in research and analytical chemistry as well as in quality control.

The unique combination of father and son provides ORTRON's clients with the knowledge and assurance that all the products ORTRON offers are fully researched and ready for sale in the marketplace.

Marc has an extensive experience in the chemical industry. He began his career in the film processing industry then progressed to a Research & Development role in the pulp and paper/peroxide industry finishing up as a Chief Research and Analytical Chemist.  Marc also has experience in supervising quality control laboratories in the cosmetic and skin care industry.

He draws on his considerable knowledge and experience to ensure that ORTRON's quality control and product development meets Good Manufacturing Procedure (GMP) and industry standards. Marc is a member of the Australian Society of Cosmetic Chemists (ASCC).
